I decided to start training with Andy after having a baby because I needed to get stronger, especially in my core, and start feeling better about myself again.
I knew it would be hard to find the time and motivation if I were doing this on my own. Training with Andy has kept me motivated to continue as he challenges and encourages me. Getting back to the gym and getting stronger is not as hard as I thought it would be!

Andy is a friendly, patient and encouraging teacher. I had no experience with weight training when I started working with him, and within just a couple of months he had me confidently doing bench presses and deadlifts.
He has always been eager to tailor workouts to my goals, and he has worked with me and my at-home equipment to make sure I can continue getting stronger despite the coronavirus shutdown.

Normally, Andy sets me up with sessions to do at the gym on my own, through an app. The gym closed this week, so he adjusted everything to home workouts that I can do without much equipment. He'll tailor your workouts around your fitness level and the equipment you have.
I am very grateful for his support - I'm able to continue to focus on my health and well-being during these crazy times. We're lucky to have him in our corner!

The gym closing was one of the hardest changes to daily life for me to accept. When Andy reached out to continue training with him, I was skeptical because working out in my basement has never appealed to me.
But, I enlisted my two gym buddies, and Andy created a group strength-training class for us. It's exactly what we needed. We meet 3x/week on Zoom. Andy leads us by demonstrating the moves, correcting our form, and gently pushing us to work as hard as we can.
I look forward to these training appointments now more than ever. I am being held accountable and feeling connected to my gym community. And the workouts are hard!
